We've all understood the lyrics of a song once and ended up singing really stupid, so here's a thread to post those misintrepretations and LOL at other people's (they don't have to be only Kodaline)

Although I obviously knew that it was wrong, I thought that Editors' Papillon was "it tastes like a swiss cheese" instead of "it kicks like a sleep twitch"

for all the dutch-speaking people: 't is gewoon een, 't is gewoon een, 't is gewoon een klootzak I had to look up the right lyrics, it's "He’s falling, he’s falling, he’s falling, hold on." and in Editors' Honesty: Build a rocket horse, get away no clue what it should be, I have the booklet with the wrong lyrics

Getaway: "an occasion when someone leaves a place quickly, usually after committing a crime: The two masked men made their getaway in a stolen van. / a getaway car. " So, "make a rocking horse getaway" would be like a metaphor, saying they escape in a rocking horse, or make a getaway in a rocking horse; but I have no clue of what that metaphor means

In "Way Back Then" I thought Steve was singing. "We used to share a cigarette, and troll together.." Which makes no sense. It's actually "throw together.."
